My First Characters

Character Name: Mezlie
Species: Peach-faced Lovebird

Brief Personality Synopsis: Mezlie is traumatized by just about every little thing, but if you give her the chance, she may warm up to you after a while. Once you have her trust, she is really sweet and looks upon you for comfort.
History of Liberation: Mezlie was in a tiny cage, with her mate. After years of living in horrible conditions, her mate fell seriously ill and died. Mezlie also fell ill, but was rescued when the ASPCA got to her in time. She was still learning how to fly again when she was adopted back to another owner, who set her free when she had behavioral problems. She was hit by a car while eating seeds on the road, but once again, the ASPCA was there to save her. She made a recovery and then was sent to be liberated.

Brief Personality Synopsis: Chakoll is very rough and hates everyone and everything. He is stubborn and doesn't take no for an answer. Its even harder to gain Chakoll's friendship than Menzlie's(see above character). He is very bitter and has a tendency to charge even when you haven't even provoked him.
History of Liberation: Chakoll was on a farm, a nice, luxurious farm. It would have been the perfect life, if he hadn't had the job he did. All the geese were related except Chakoll, and they needed more geese to fit the egg industry. So he was forced to breed nearly every day, something that forced this bird into hatred. All his male chicks were left to grow up, and then killed and eaten. Chakoll was getting older and the owner of the property had managed to capture another male goose and was taming it. But that meant Chakoll was going to be eaten. Chakoll led the owner on a wild goose chase. His flight feathers had grown back in, and he flew off, liberating himself, until he was shot. Then he was forced to eat bread in the park and live there for his whole life. The bullet had shot his foot off, and after some time, it recovered. One day, some people tried to round up injured and vulnerable geese, and Chakoll was captured.

Brief Personality Synopsis: Reyk is a little small and fragile, and very shy, but he is also quite feisty with members of his species. He hasn't had much contact with even other graylags, and the contact he has had was very rough. Reyk is determined to keep a firm foot on the ground and survive by any means necesarry(sp?)
History of Liberation: Reyk was born very sick, along with his siblings. Their mother and father abandoned them as soon as they were a few hours old. Reyk was one of the weakest, but he had only a mild case of the disease. After his siblings all died, except for one, he went down to the water and began eating. It had been 4 days since he hatched and he was terribly weak from not eating and the sickness. His sister accompanied him soon. At 12 days old, they were taken in by another mother goose that had lost her goslings to the mysterious disease. One day, a storm started brewing, and the foster mother, Reyk, and his sister raced for cover, but it hit and they were forced to weather it out in the open. It was bad, and Reyk was seperated from his sister and foster mother. When some people came, they captured him and another adult male goose.
Yes I know a gosling won't survive well, but...I dunno. Maybe he can become food after surviving for a few days.

Hey, there -- I don’t think I’ve had the chance to role-play with you yet. I've got a pair of muscovy ducks that could interact well with your graylag geese. The female might even take the gosling under her wing (do I get a groan from the crowd for that bad pun?). Also, I think it would be hilarious if my glassy crayfish snake chatted with your lovebird; sure, there are more appropriate species, but I imagine this would be more fun.
I'll take first post if you like =) And your choice on neither, either, or both ideas.

Sure, I'm sure Reyk would love not being eaten and maybe Chakoll can muster up enough friendliness to tolerate your ducks. I can't imagine such a paranoid creature as my lovebird talking to a snake, but I would give it a try.
