The grasslands are not so much grasslands as in the traditional western sense, but rather are made up of a vast expanse of tall grasses left behind as the relic of long-abandoned farm land. The soil is rich and fertile, spawning healthy and verdant grasses, as well as small brush and intermittent trees. The river bisects this territory laterally, ending in a large lake that signals the beginning of the wetlands and borderline territories. This land is ideal for grazing animals, as well as any smaller animals who use open areas to burrow, build nests, etc.
